i-am-the-rainbow-troll asked: My closest circle of friends at the university I attend is made up of a pair of Hufflepuffs, a pair of Ravenclaws and a Slytherin. I find that I honestly don't get on all that well with people with hardcore Gryffindor personalities, but I just don't know why. The Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws and other Slytherins, though, they're fantastic.
Anonymous asked: How about a Slytherin dating a muggle?
merlinwasslytherin asked: I don't think there's any reason that any house should interact better or worse with any other house. It's pretty individual. Some of my best friends have been a Ravenclaw (my boyfriend of 6 years) and a Gryffindor (best friend through middle and high school, before we went to different colleges), plus several Hufflepuffs. I do think Gryf/Sly has the most general potential for...

arrogantchild asked: Definitely agree with the Slytherin-Hufflepuff match. It's a great pair because of the balance. I call Slytherin-Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw-Gryffindor the "diagonals" because of a chart I made. Houses on opposite diagonal corners of the chart were most different so they balanced each other out. Of course, the best *group* would be a mix of all four for complete balance, but for a...
Anonymous asked: Confession: I tend to sort my friends, my family, and my favorite book/movie/tv characters into Hogwarts houses.
jamie-moriarty asked: I actually dated a Hufflepuff for a while. After we broke up, we became best friends. I've personally never met a Hufflepuff that I don't get a long with, but I think it always depends on the person, not the house they're in.
obsessingonsnape asked: It's very strange for me to see everyone talking about 'Slytherins can't be friends with Hufflepuffs' or 'Certain Slytherins and Hufflepuffs can get along.' when I was just thinking about which House my non-Potterhead friends would be. And I came to the conclusion that we are a mixture of Slytherins (myself included) and Hufflepuffs with a random Ravenclaw and...
ecoprettyx asked: Two of my best friends are Hufflepuffs so I completely disagree with what that Anon said. One of them is even my college roommate! We get along swimmingly because, for all intents and purposes when it comes to the different aspects of our personality, we level each other out.
ladyprincessunicorn asked: In response to that last anon's comment about Slytherins and Hufflepuffs not getting along, my two best friends and my parents are all Hufflepuffs while I'm a Slytherin so I really think it depends on the people who you're dealing with. Not all Slytherins are going to get along with all Hufflepuffs, but in my personal experience I get along great with Hufflepuffs.
Anonymous asked: From my point of view Slytherin/Hufflepuff is the most awful combination ever. Slytherins wood get annoyed because the good natured, kind hearted, hard working drool balls would not understand them. I know a couple of hufflepuffs and can barely put up with them, they seem to adore me though...
theroseofwood asked: How do the relationships between Slytherins and other houses go? (Slytherin+Slytherin, Slytherin+Ravenclaw, Slytherin+Gryffindor, Slytherin+Hufflepuff)

houseofsnakes asked: Hi, I saw the message you got about a Slytherin common room on Tumblr and I loved the idea, so I made one. Would you mind promoting this blog?
dunnutter asked: Oh my lord this blog is me on the computer! Lol =D I totally agree with everything thats posted on here even about the paranormal, mental health interest! Anyone other Slytherins out there have a bit of an obsessive personality? I seem to go through phases of loving something for a month or two then it fades onto the next thing and I don't give it a second thought for a while? I hope I'm...

Anonymous asked: Or they are the highest with perceive mental disorders due to their fascination in Psychology. And keep in mind that just because you are anal or a perfectionist, that doesn't make you a "little OCD" OCD is a serious disorder. There are, however, personality disorders like compulsive personality disorder and so on but you must meet the criteria of the DSM IV. Important to be...
anon-sethlongfall asked: even though I'm probably really late on the disorder convo, for some odd reason, I made this character who is a slytherin, a pyromaniac, coincidence? ;D
quickwittedwren asked: Could you add a link to all of the psych posts or have a master list?

But I wouldn’t lie to you guys, so the truth is, I was busy watching Orphan. :x
targaryenoftyrell asked: Hi, I must say that I concur with every thing you posted here especially the ones about mental disorders. I, myself, suffers from schizoid and paranoia. Thus, it just made me to be fonder of things related to psychology. I hope you'll keep posting. Keep up the good work and take care.
Anonymous asked: haha, i watch a haunting allll the time, too. my friends/family think im weird because im so interested in it, but i think its just a slytherin thing. aha. its just really cool to explore things that are hard to explain.
baronbiff asked: I also have a fascination with mental and personality disorders. I always have. My mother and I both suffer ourselves. She has depression and bipolar disorder, and I developed obsessive compulsive disorder somewhere along the line as I watched her physical and mental health decline. And maybe it's strange, but that only made me want to learn about those disorders (and others) even more.

nowyouhasflash asked: Do you know of any Hufflepuff blogs a bit like this one? Because of course I love Hufflepuffs, I want to know more about the house!
aileenfitz asked: totes have Depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, tied with Anorexia Athletica (obsessive working out and focus on perfecting body image). In fact, my AA sprung from the fact that my doctor told me that exercise was a great way to relieve stress and naturally increase endorphins with out antidepressants. So then AA happened. BUTTTT you guys make me not ashamed to talk about it....
sertargaryen asked: I absolutely LOVE learning about mental disorders and illnesses. I find them fascinating. I relate to you in that I too have depression, but I've not been diagnosed yet because only a few friends are aware.
on-wednesday-night asked: Happy Slytherin Appreciation Day!!
diaduitcluaiste asked: I didn't realise it was a Slytherin thing, but now it totally makes sense. I suffer from depression and serious paranoia - like, seeing dead people kind of serious(; And as much as it scares me, it fascinates me so much. This blog is just so amazingly true. Slytherins should have a celebration day! P.S. I love you.
Anonymous asked: that thing about the mental illness thing is sorta true for me. i like learning about that stuff. but i REALLY love watching things about like, ghosts and demons and stuff. anyone else?
livebetweenthepages asked: Hiya! :3 I too am very interested in mental disorders and all that jazz (hence only one of the reasons I'm majoring in Psychology :3) anyways, would Slytherin's have any mental illnesses? Like, what would common illnesses be for Slytherin's? :o if that makes sense.
asnakewithwingsisadragon asked: Why are you considered mentally disordered? I am, too, but I'm curious. Also, this blog= my mind. I love it.
I see that you guys relate a lot to the last post.
I’ve always been interested in mental illnesses, eating disorders, sociopaths, serial killers, etc. I just feel so drawn to learning about them. I want to know everything I can. What chemical imbalances in their brain cause it, if it’s genetic, what compels them to act the way they do. It’s just fascinating. o: Even if I’m technically considered mentally disordered myself.

Anonymous asked: Your blog isn't exactly psychology it is personality trait submissions. Personality is a piece of psychology but not psychology in a whole. Also, it is user submitted and unfortunately can not be generalized to the entire population. I do agree with quite a few but I also disagree with quite a few as well. So, I do love your blog and follow it. However, I dislike the loose concept of what...
